How to take the same word ?

I guess some might experience an amusing event. When we take the same word in different ways. I have one to share. It is about the word "Wad"

Actually "Wad" in Thai refers to more than a meaning, "to measure" and " a temple".

Once I was in a village. I would like to measure the tank's size. I asked my friend to go and "Wad" the tank together. She took the "wad" as a "temple". So she went to a temple and waited me there for a long time. I was at the tank and measuring its size with some other friends. Wondering where was she....

When we met at home again she asked me "were were you ?" I answered "Pai Wad". I asked her the same question. She replied "Pai Wad". ...

Then we both had a good laugh when we got to know we took the different meanings of "wad".

Pi Pai Ma...

I have been to Pai. A tourist place in Mae Hong Son, northern Thailand. Another little corner of the world of a wanderer like me..

It is a small, busy and crowded town with many toursits and foreigners. I think it is like an artificial town as the original town was replaced by many tourism places. Guest houses, pubs, bars, tattoo shops, resturants, internet services, laundry ... etc.

According to a local girl. The local Pai people are Shan. Many of them sold their land at very high price. They moved to another place and bought new lands at low price. Then they set up a new village with other local people. Just to live in peace as they used to do from generation to generation. Some 100 years ago may be.

However Pai is an interesting place to visit. It is also the place where people seek their dreams, build up their own world , do what they want or belief and enjoy their funky lives.

So, let's Pi Pai one day !

Journey in the rain

I went to a village on Saturday. It rained along the way and everywhere was wet. The sky was cloudy too.I felt a bit risky to drive along the slippery and winding road up in the mountains.

But I had a differnt feeling too. It was a challenge and I enjoy driving in the rain. When I have to focus on it and see what is in front of me. Some bad road, muddy with the erosions, some branches and some small streams on the road.

I also saw the beauty of nature when it was raining too. It was a quiet and pleasant journey in the rain.

Music Music...!

It is a busy week again at work. Things are quite difficult and I can not achieve the objectives of my teaching. Most students did not pass the test.

I was upset and disappointed. Keep thinking about it for some days. Would like to know what are the gaps of my communication with the students.

I still can not find the answer. However I feel much better when I listen to music. Every track has its memory. Some friends sent me very nice tracks and they make me smile. The tracks remind me of those friends too.

Yes, music makes me happy during the blue days. Music... Music....

Friendship !

One beautiful thing in my life is friendship and this should be similar to many people. Sometimes I have to stop and think about them during my journey. Cuz this and that always remind me of them.

My friends, some are classmates, some are collegues, and some are the wandereres like me. Most of them are very far away and some have never met for many years. Even we have never met, I always miss them and remember their warm friendship.

We all have our own ways and things to take care. No matter where they are, they will always be in my mind. I do feel that they laugh with me on my happy days, cry with me when I feel blue and wish me the best for every of my life steps.

I belief in the power of friendship as they told me " friend is forever....".

There are many ways to share our lessons and experiences learnt with others. One is with picture. As someone said " A picture paints a thousand words".
